Clinic Leadership Moves

The Board of Directors of Neighborhood Health Clinic (Clinic) is pleased to announce that Keith Maples has been appointed as CEO of the nonprofit organization and Leslie Lascheid President of the Board.

“I’m pleased to announced that Keith Maples is moving into the role of CEO, handling the day-to-day operations, development and expansion of the organization, while Leslie Lascheid will continue to provide oversight in governance, finance and strategic planning as President of the Board,“ explains Board Chair John P. Cardillo, Esq.

The moves are part of a succession plan launched more than five years ago to ensure the nonprofit remains aligned with the vision and mission of Founders Nancy Lascheid, BSN, RN and Bill Lascheid, MD: Delivering quality medical care to low-income, working but uninsured Collier County adults, using a professional volunteer staff funded by private philanthropy.

With Maples serving as CEO, Lascheid will focus on oversight and the partnerships crucial to ensuring the long-term sustainability and quality care that have become the hallmarks of Neighborhood Health Clinic.

In addition to these changes, Kate Williams-Whitley, daughter of Leslie Lascheid, was elected to the Board of Directors. Not only will her business acumen and international nonprofit experience bring a unique skills-set to the Board, she will continue the Clinic’s cherished “Lascheid Legacy”.

Since opening on April 12, 1999, Neighborhood Health Clinic has grown from serving 8 patients a day to providing more than 12,000 patient visits and some 30,000 patient procedures annually.

After working in the background with her parents for years, Leslie Lascheid was appointed CEO of the nonprofit in 2012, carrying forward her family’s legacy. Maples joined the Clinic in 2015 as Chief Development Officer, working hand-in-hand with the Lascheids and the leadership team in meeting the ever-changing needs of the Clinic’s patients and greater Naples community.

“I know the community understands that this organization is not just the Lascheids’ history, but a vital part of our larger Collier County family,” shares Lascheid. “Today, I personally thank everyone for being part of this living legacy and ask you all to join me in welcoming Keith as our new CEO.”
