Elevance Health Foundation Invests in Food as Medicine at Neighborhood Health Clinic
Neighborhood Health Clinic is grateful to Elevance Health Foundation for a $10,000 grant to support food-as-medicine care for our patients. The Clinic was one of 22 nonprofit organizations nationwide selected for the Foundation’s newest round of food-as-medicine grants, part of its five-year, $150 million commitment to addressing the physical, behavioral, and social needs of under-resourced communities.
For many of our hardworking neighbors, managing a chronic condition like diabetes or high blood pressure starts at the kitchen table. Yet when budgets are tight, nutritious food is often the first thing to go. Elevance Health Foundation’s investment helps the Clinic bring nutrition into the heart of care, so patients have the knowledge and resources to make healthy choices that last.
Thank you, Elevance Health Foundation, for helping us bring hope and healing to working neighbors across Collier County.
